Tamara has spent more than four decades at the Great Highland Bagpipes — not just playing them, but leading them. As Pipe Major of the Pacific Gael Pipe Band, she set the tunes, led the tuning, and conducted the band through parades, ceremonies, and Remembrance Day services across Vancouver Island.
Today she brings that same discipline and presence to private engagements — a single piper, in full Highland dress, giving your occasion the ceremony it deserves.
Tamara's grandfather, Donald Grant, served Canada in both World Wars. In 1917 he stood at Vimy Ridge as a rifleman, sniper, and scout, returning home in 1919. When war came again, he enlisted once more — landing at Dieppe in 1942 with the South Saskatchewan Regiment, and surviving two years and nine months as a prisoner of war before liberation in May 1945.
This is why military funerals, Last Post tributes, and Remembrance Day services hold particular meaning in Tamara's work.
